The electrical division is responsible for designing, assembling, and testing and the electrical systems of each robot. The division handles projects such as motors and motor controllers, battery management, power distribution, and wired/wireless emergency stop systems. The electrical division is split into project groups, each responsible for vital systems on the robots. The division uses EagleCAD software to design custom printed circuit boards for almost all of the electrical systems. Members of the electrical division will gain relevant experience in designing circuits, soldering, and working with power and motion control.
